Impact door questions

Can a large sliding door really be impact-rated?

Yes, within the limits of each product’s approval. Every approved system lists the maximum panel sizes and design pressures it was tested to. We design the opening around those limits so the finished door is fully compliant.

Do I need a permit to replace a door?

Exterior door replacement requires a building permit in Broward and Palm Beach counties. We handle the application and inspections.

Can you enlarge an existing opening for a bigger door?

Often, yes. Widening an opening is structural work that may require engineering and a separate scope. We evaluate it during your consultation and include it in the proposal if it makes sense.

Let’s design the opening.
