Custom Mirrors, Cut to Size

Bathroom, dressing room, gym, and full-wall mirrors, measured on site and installed to fit the space exactly.

Why custom instead of off the shelf

A store-bought mirror comes in a handful of sizes. A custom mirror is cut to the wall, the vanity, or the niche it belongs in, with notches for outlets and switches, and edges finished to suit the room. Walls are rarely perfectly square, so we measure on site and cut to the actual opening, not the dimension on the plans.

Where we install mirrors

  • Bathrooms and vanities: single mirrors sized to the vanity, double-vanity mirrors, and mirrors that run counter to ceiling. Often paired with frameless shower glass.
  • Full mirror walls: floor-to-ceiling mirror across a wall to open up a living room, dining room, or entry.
  • Home gyms and dance studios: large panels mounted low and run wall to wall, so you can see your full form.
  • Dressing rooms and closets: full-length mirrors, mirrored doors, and three-way arrangements.
  • Commercial spaces: restrooms, salons, fitness studios, and retail fitting rooms.

Edge finishes

  • Flat polished: a clean, squared edge polished smooth. The most common choice for frameless mirrors.
  • Beveled: an angled border ground around the perimeter that catches light and frames the mirror without a frame.
  • Pencil polished: a softly rounded edge.
  • Seamed edges: lightly sanded edges for mirrors that sit inside a frame, channel, or between panels on a mirror wall.

Mirrors can also be framed, set in a metal channel, or cut to shapes such as arches and rounded corners.

Mirror walls and gym mirrors

Large mirror walls are installed as multiple panels with tight, straight seams. Panel layout matters: we plan seams around sightlines and fixtures, and align them with any wall features. For gyms, studios, and other spaces where a mirror could be struck, safety backing film is applied so that broken glass stays together, and mounting is planned for the activity in the room.

Mounting and installation

Depending on the size and location, mirrors are mounted with mirror-safe adhesive, clips, a J-channel, or a combination. The wall needs to be flat and finished first; paint should be cured and wallpaper removed where adhesive will be used. Cutouts for outlets, switches, and medicine cabinets are made during fabrication from our field measurements.

Mirror questions

Can you cut a mirror around outlets and switches?

Yes. We measure the cutouts on site and make them during fabrication so the mirror fits around them cleanly.

Polished or beveled edge?

A flat polished edge reads clean and modern. A bevel adds a lit border that works well on a frameless mirror in a more traditional room. We can show samples of both.

Are gym mirrors different?

They are usually larger and mounted lower, and they get safety backing film so the glass stays together if broken. We plan the panel layout around the equipment in the room.

Can you remove an old mirror?

Yes. Old glued mirrors can be removed before the new one goes in. The wall behind may need patching and paint before installation.
